My experience ...

The month of August is about to end. I've returned to my Job after about 2 months of training at Noida. On this occasion I'm writing my experience for last one month.

I won't say that there was anything special there if anyone else is reading this post.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
But for me, yes it was special.
After about 5 years of comleting my B.Tech, I finally got into technical job and that too on a scale that has always facinated me. The place is not a big city, but the work place is so big, you can almost get lost over there ;-) Here I'm getting the chance to learn lot many things about machines & equipments & a lot more than that. And assuming the current scale of working, I can learn here for almost forever.

As I had set a few goals for myself last month & now its time to review them for me :-)
  1. Starting any sort of physical exercise. I don't want to become a "Sarkari Babu" with a big stomach popping out of the dress ;-) - Well considering the nature of my job, I hope that any special effort on physical excersise won't be necessary.... Gud for me :-)
  2. Studying either of: Spanish Language, Palmistry or Financial Management to keep myself occupied - Well, I tried with all but succeeded in none. :(
  3. To keep my blog updated & not letting down my newly developed hobby of writing (anything) - Yes, here I have been able to meet the goal & in addition to my occasional writing, I've been updating my blog on regular basis. Gud for me again :-)
In the end I would like to set few goals for myself for next month to act as a benchmark & judge myself:

REPEAT (Hope to get some success this time) - Studying either of: Spanish Language, Palmistry or Financial Management to keep myself occupied

REPEAT - To keep my blog updated & not letting down my newly developed hobby of writing (anything)

NEW - Learn about one part of my job to a satisfactory level, in addition to requirements of my daily work. I hope that if I can start with this & maintain it, I can really learn a lot than what I had ever ever thought of achieving in my life...

Don't Copy If You Can't Paste...

A popular motivational speaker was entertaining his audience.

“The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who wasn’t my wife!”

The audience was in silence and shock.

The speaker added: “And that woman was my mother!”

Laughter and applause.

A week later, a top manager trained by the motivational speaker tried to crack this very effective joke at home. He was a bit foggy after a drink.

He said loudly, “The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman who was not my wife!”. The wife went wan with shock and rage.

Standing there for 20 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the manager finally blurted out “… and I can’t remember who she was!”

Moral of the story: Don’t copy if you can’t paste!

Pic of the Day - Concrete Jungle...

Int pathar ke is jungle mein, insaan kahan kho gaya;
Pedon ki jagah imaartein, aur aadmi bhediya ho gaya;
Vikas ki is daud mein, manav kudrat ko kyon bhool gaya,
Hari bhari hoti thi jo duniya wahan pedon ka sanrakshan ek issue ho gaya..

‎7 Lovely Logics .....

01. Make peace with your past so it doesn't spoil your present.

02. What others think of you is none of your business.

03. Time heals almost everything, give the time, sometime.

04. Someone is a reason of your happiness not everyone.

05. Don't compare your life with other's as you have no idea what thier journey is all about.

06. Stop thinking too much, its alright not to know all the answers.

07. Smile !!! You don't own all the problems in the world..

So guys .... Enjoy each and every moment of your life ..... :)

अब कल की है फिकर,
और अधूरे हैं सपने,

Depreciation...

The building depreciates, so does the machine,
Even the human depreciates, because the life is mean,
With the passage of time, the things are changing,
Even the value of relations, is sharply depreciating…

In case of Fire...

Two things in life that are difficult to achieve:

1. To plant your idea in someone's head

2. To plant someone's money in your own pocket.·

He who succeeds in the former - we call teacher;·

He who succeeds with the latter - we call boss.·
The one who succeeds in both - we call wife;·

The one who fails in both - we call husband ;-)

Trouble starts when...

When a man marries a woman, they become one - the trouble starts when they try to decide which one.

"True friends"..!!! :-)

Main ghar der se pahuncha to Dad ne pucha: "Kahan tha tu?"
Maine kaha: "Friend k yahan tha."
Dad ne mere hi saamne mere 10 doston ko call kiya.
4 ne kaha: "Haan Uncle, Yahin par tha."
2 ne kaha: "Abhi just nikla hai."
3 ne kaha: "Yahin hai Uncle, Padh raha hai, Phone du kya?"
1 ne to had hi kar di kaha: "Haan Papa bolo kya hua" ...!!!

Why people are so mean,
Why the whole Earth is not green,
You might ask what do I mean,
Enjoy the life, because it is so lean…

Entering a wrong e-mail address...

A man checked into a hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally typed wrong e-mail address, and without realizing his error, he sent the e-mail.

Meanwhile… somewhere, a widow had just returned home from her husband’s funeral. The widow decided to check her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she fainted. The widow’s son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I’ve Reached Safely
Date: 21 st July, 2004

I know you’re surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now, and we are allowed to send e-mails to our loved ones. I’ve just reached safely and have been checked in. I see that
everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was...

Anger Management...

The Goal of anger management is to reduce your emotional feelings and the Physiological arousal caused by the Anger.

You cannot get rid of, or avoid it, but you can learn to control your Reaction.

Let us analyze this topic little Deeply

(1) Why people are getting Angry?

Following may be the reasons:
• Low tolerance for Frustration
• Don’t know how to react in a Particular situation
• Lack of knowledge about the Situation
• Culture
• Family back Ground,
• Not able to accept others skill or superiority in certain Fields

Strategies to keep anger under control:
1) First we have to find out the trigger point that triggers the Anger

Strategies
(1) Relaxation:
1) Breath Deeply
2) Slowly repeat a word you like. Ex. Relax, take it Easy
3) Visualize the relaxing Experience
4) Close your eyes & Remember the recent happy moment for a few Minutes

(2) Problem solving:
• Do some work when you are frustrated or Disappointed. Work shall be preferably related to your hobby or interest like Playing Games, Reading Magazines, Writing, etc...
• Talk to your friend about the situation & ask for a Comment

(3) Better communication:
Never take decisions when you are in an angry mood, mostly it will be a wrong decision.
When you are in a heated discussion control yourself, Listen carefully to what the other person is saying and take your time before answering
• It’s natural to get defensive when you are criticized but don’t fight, instead listen to what is underlying the words

(4) Humour:
• Humour will always help to un knot the tense Situation
• Try to remember some Happy Situation
• Humor should not imitate the other person Activities
• Personal comments are to be Avoided
(5) Changing Environment:
• Give yourself Break
• Make the environment Conducive
• If you are not able to change the environment change your location for a brief period. Ex: Go to the garden, or watch the beautiful flowers outside of your work Place

(6) Timing:
• Analyze the time when you are discussing serious matters
• Change the time to discuss the important serious matters

(7) Avoid:
If you feel that some people are disturbing your activities avoid the people for sometime

Alternatives:
Some people will get angry due to traffic jam & other common problems
Change your way to come to office or change your routine work

(8) Do you need counseling?
Still if you feel that your anger is really out of control please consult a psychologist or other licensed mental health professional. They can work with you in developing a range of techniques for changing your thinking and your behavior.

## Remember you cannot eliminate anger and it would not be a good idea if your could in spite of all your efforts things will happen that will cause you anger and some times it will be just finish anger

Life will be filled with frustration, pain loss, and the unpredictable action of others you cannot change that but you change way you let such events affect you

Controlling your response can keep them from making you even move unhappy in the long run

I think this is enough on anger management. I'll try to bring something else next time ;-)

Party...

Ashes to Ashes Dust-to-Dust, Life is short so Party We must!!!

Customer Service Call - Installing a new program called ...

Customer: I'm not very technical, but I just received LOVE and think I am ready to install now. What do I do first?

CS Rep: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART ma'am?

Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?

CS Rep: What programs are running ma'am?

Customer: Let me see... I have PASTHURT.EXE, LOWESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM running right now.

CS Rep: No problem. LOVE will automatically erase PAST HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOWESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGHESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn of GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ma'am?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

CS Rep: My pleasure. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Do this as many times as necessary until GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, I'm done. LOVE has started installing it's self automatically. Is that normal?

CS Rep: Yes it is. You should receive a message that says it will reinstall for the life of your HEART. Do you see that message?

Customer: Yes I do. Is it completely installed?

CS Rep: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other HEART'S in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops... I have an error message already. What should I do?

CS Rep: What does the message say?

Customer: It says "ERROR 412 - PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS." What does that mean?

CS Rep: Don't worry ma'am, that's a common problem. It means that the LOVE program is set up to run on external HEARTS but has not yet been run on your HEART. It is one of those complicated programming things, but in non-technical terms it means you have to "LOVE" your own machine before it can "LOVE" others.

Customer: So what should I do?

CS Rep: Can you find the directory called SELF-ACCEPTANCE?

Customer: Yes, I have it.

CS Rep: Excellent, you are getting good at this.

Customer: Thank you.

CS Rep: You're welcome. Click on the following files and then copy them to the MYHEART directory: FORGIVESELF.DOC, SELFESTEEM.TXT, REALIZEWORTH.TXT and GOODNESS.DOC. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching any faulty programming. Also, you need to delete SELFCRITIC.EXE from all directories, and then empty your recycle bin afterwards to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it Hey! My HEART is filling up with really neat files. SMILE.MPG is playing on my monitor right now and it shows that WARMTH.COM, PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.COM are coping themselves all over my HEART!

CS Rep: Then LOVE is installed and running. You should be able to handle it from here. One more thing before I go...

Customer: Yes?

CS Rep: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everybody you meet. They will in turn share it with other people and they will return some really neat modules back to you.

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc. How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e. they can see you, but you can't see them)? There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. It's time to get paranoid. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty? Well, once again, I am here to enlighten you. Just conduct this simple test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, for it is a 2-way mirror! You can further ascertain the nature of the suspect surface by hurling an object (e.g. a chair!!!) at it. The chair will go through.
So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test". It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save you from various problems... !!!

However, the fingernail test isn't necessarily a very good one & judging whether an object placed up against such a mirror is touching its reflection can be affected by factors such as the size of the mirror, the angle of the mirror, the amount of lighting present, and the type of object used to conduct the test, and an unpracticed observer might easily mistake an ordinary mirror for a transparent one this way.

Failing is never the problem

"Failing is never the problem. You have to experience failure to know what success is. Most people don't even put themselves into a situation to fail. The important thing is to learn from mistakes and Fail Forward!"

You are priceless to those who love you

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a dollar twenty ($20) bill, in the room of two hundred (200) people. Speaker asked, "Who would like this dollar twenty ($20) bill?" Hands started going up.

Speaker said, "I am going to give this dollar twenty ($20) bill to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple up the dollar twenty ($20) bill. He asked, "Who still wants it?" Still hands were up in the air.

"Well, what if I do this?" He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty and asked, "Who still wants it?" Still hands went up into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what was done to the money, it was still wanted because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth dollar twenty ($20).

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless and useless.

But no matter what has happened or will happen, you will never lose your value: dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you.

Lesson from a Frog Tale

A group of frogs were hopping contentedly through the woods, going about their froggy business, when two of them fell into a deep pit. All of the other frogs gathered around the pit to see what could be done to help their companions. When they saw how deep the pit was, the rest of the dismayed group agreed that it was hopeless and told the two frogs in the pit that they should prepare themselves for their fate, because they were as good as dead.

Unwilling to accept this terrible fate, the two frogs began to jump with all of their might. Some of the frogs shouted into the pit that it was hopeless, and that the two frogs wouldn't be in that situation if they had been more careful, more obedient to the froggy rules, and more responsible.

The other frogs continued sorrowfully shouting that they should save their energy and give up, since they were already as good as dead. The two frogs continued jumping as hard as they could, and after several hours of desperate effort were quite weary.

Finally, one of the frogs took heed to the calls of his fellows. Spent and disheartened, he quietly resolved himself to his fate, lay down at the bottom of the pit, and died as the others looked on in helpless grief. The other frog continued to jump with every ounce of energy he had, although his body was wracked with pain and he was completely exhausted.

His companions began a new, yelling for him to accept his fate, stop the pain and just die. The weary frog jumped harder and harder and - wonder of wonders! Finally leapt so high that he sprang from the pit. Amazed, the other frogs celebrated his miraculous freedom and then gathering around him asked, "Why did you continue jumping when we told you it was impossible?" Reading their lips, the astonished frog explained to them that he was deaf, and that when he saw their gestures and shouting, he thought they were cheering him on. What he had perceived as encouragement inspired him to try harder and to succeed against all odds.

This simple Frog story contains a powerful lesson. Your encouraging or positive words can lift someone up and help him or her make it through the day. Your destructive or negative words can cause deep wounds; they may be the weapons that destroy someone's desire to continue trying - or even their life. Your destructive, careless word can diminish someone in the eyes of others, destroy their influence and have a lasting impact on the way others respond to them.

Being A Good Neighbour ...

"There was a Nebraska farmer who grew award-winning corn. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won a blue ribbon... One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it.

The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. "How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?" the reporter asked.

"Why sir," said the farmer, "didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn."

He is very much aware of the connectedness of life. His corn cannot improve unless his neighbor's corn also improves. So it is in other dimensions.

Those who choose to be at peace must help their neighbors to be at peace.

Those who choose to live well must help others to live well, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches.

And those who choose to be happy must help others to find happiness for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.

The lesson for each of us is this: if we are to grow good corn, we must help our neighbors grow good corn."

Cups...

"A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university lecturer. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said: "If you noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are eyeing each other's cups."

"Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change." "Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it."

So folks, don't let the cups drive you...enjoy the coffee instead"

A Turtles' Story...

A short story we might have heard...

A turtle family decided to go on a picnic. Turtles, being naturally slow about things, took seven years to prepare for their outing. Finally the turtle family left home looking for a suitable place for their outing. During the second year of their journey they found a place ideal for them at last ! For about six months they cleaned up the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed. After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left.

Three years passed and the little turtle had not returned. Five years ...... six years ....... then on the seventh year of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He announced that he was going to eat and begun to unwrap a sandwich. At that point the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, "SEE! I knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go get the salt."

Moral of the Story...

Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectations. We are so concerned about what others are doing that we don't do anything ourselves...

Communication - Tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important...

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. "Really?" she heard whispered. "I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!" and, "I didn't know others liked me so much." were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. "Were you Mark's math teacher?" he asked. She nodded: "yes." Then he said: "Mark talked about you a lot."

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.

"We want to show you something," his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket. "They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it."

Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.

"Thank you so much for doing that," Mark's mother said. "As you can see, Mark treasured it."

All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, "I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home."

Chuck's wife said, "Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album."

"I have mine too," Marilyn said. "It's in my diary."

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. "I carry this with me at all times," Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: "I think we all saved our lists."

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again. The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

And One Way To Accomplish This Is: Forward this message on. If you do not send it, you will have, once again passed up the wonderful opportunity to do something nice and beautiful.
If you've received this, it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care.

If you're "too busy" to take those few minutes right now to forward this message on, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little thing that would make a difference in your relationships?

The more people that you send this to, the better you'll be at reaching out to those you care about.

Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.

May Your Day Be Blessed And As Special As You Are .....

A Fish Tale

Japanese way of handling a problem....

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish.

If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste. To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer.

However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price. So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin.

After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-
fish taste. The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.  So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan?

If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend? As soon as you reach your goals, such as finding a wonderful mate, starting a successful company, paying off your debts or whatever, you might lose your passion. You don't need to work so hard so you relax. You experience the same problem as lottery winners who waste their money, wealthy heirs who never grow up and bored homemakers who get addicted to prescription drugs. Like the Japanese fish problem, the best solution is simple.

It was observed by L. Ron Hubbard in the early 1950's. "Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the presence of a challenging environment."- L. Ron Hubbard

The Benefits of a Challenge:
The more intelligent, persistent and competent you are, the more you enjoy a good problem. If your challenges are the correct size, and if you are steadily conquering those challenges, you are happy. You think of your challenges and get energized. You are excited to try new solutions. You have fun. You are alive!

How Japanese Fish Stay Fresh:

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state. The fish are challenged.

Recommendations:

Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them. Beat the heck out of them. Enjoy the game. If your challenges are too large or too numerous, do not give up. Failing makes you tired. Instead, reorganize. Find more determination, more knowledge, more help.

If you have met your goals, set some bigger goals. Once you meet your personal or family needs, move onto goals for your group, the society, even mankind. Don't create success and lie in it.

You have resources, skills and abilities to make a difference. Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go
